James Thomas was born on 20th June 1876 (RoB Burnley 1876 Q3 Vol.8e p.211) to James Magnall (GM021/149) and Alice Greenwood (GM022). He was christened on the 23rd July 1876 in Habergham Eaves (VRI). The 1881 Census shows that James was only 4 years old. In the 1891 Census he is a weaver aged 14.
On the 11 September 1900 James was a witness for his oldest brother Joseph's wedding to Eliza Jane Wilkinson at St Matthew's Church in Habergham Eaves.
James married Polly Sharp (EM225) on the 11th June 1901. Details of the marriage certificate are shown below:

James died on the 19th June 1944 aged 67 (RoD Burnley 1944 Q2 Vol.8e p.211 age 67).
