At the time of the 1851 census the Magnall and Mangnall surnames were to be found in a number of areas. These are some of the ones I have found so far. Please let me know if you find some more!

Note - Maria (GM152) is probably the daughter of Maria (JM055), not the step daughter. I believe this to be the case for two reasons:-

  • Nancy (JM043) who I believe to be the mother of the other children, died in 1842;
  • because then mother and daughter would have the same name!
